Timothy Patrick Finucane

(Tim Finucane) February 7th, 2025, peacefully passed away in his home from a continual progression of Early Onset Alzheimer's disease. He was a loving husband to Mary G Carroll, and father to Patrick and Shea Finucane. 

Tim Finucane was born on May 6th, 1964, to Donald and Marilynn Finucane in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was the oldest of four siblings, Jeff Finucane, Kelly Lawrence, and David Finucane. From a young age Tim always took great pride in work, living life through the years with a steadfast belief that there is no job too small. 

Tim met Mary G Carroll in 1984 at Marquette University and became sober friends. Over time the relationship grew into a romantic partnership, finally married in 1993, in New Jersey. They lived in Milwaukee to raise a family and to nurture businesses together. 

Tim shared his love for simplicity and frugality with his family to create opportunities for them to understand the “good life” which comes when life is not filled with possessions and status. He loved the idea that one seed produced many tomatoes. The dirt was his home, spending much of his free time gardening and studying permaculture. He insisted on taking his sons on river adventures in the canoes and hikes in parks all over Wisconsin and the National Parks in many states. 

We fondly and proudly carry these memories and experiences into our lives.

On May 6, 2025, we will gather in Lake Park by a bench on Wahl St in celebration of his life and love for nature. He made it clear that this gathering is what he wanted. We invite you to fill out this form to be placed on an invitation list for the details of his Celebration of Life. Invitation
