Thomas Robert Sindic

January 2, 1956 — April 17, 2020

Eagle, WI – Thomas Robert Sindic, 64, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee after a long fight with liver disease. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynn (Ehlke) Sindic; his son, Eric (Tiffany) Sindic; his daughter, Heather (Kevin) Sather, his three grandchildren, Luke, Hayden and Noelle; his mother, Geraldine Sindic, his brothers, Rick (Janice) Sindic and Terry (Gretchen) Sindic, and many other close relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Sindic and friends and family that passed before him. Born on January 2, 1956 to Robert and Geraldine (Scherzer) Sindic. He was raised in Milwaukee and moved to Waukesha after getting married and then later moved to Eagle WI. As a young man he had a passion for classic cars and wood working. After high school, Thom married his wife Lynn and partnered with his father and brothers to form Sindic Oldsmobile, Inc. of Muskego in 1977. Thom had a great ability in all manner of construction and was truly a jack-of-all-trades. His main hobby was carpentry and wood working, where Thom created beautifully crafted furniture and decorative frames and boxes for friends and family. He enjoyed his annual camping and outdoor trips with family and friends. A loving husband and father, he lived by the golden rule and was generous and selfless with everyone he met. Even as his illness progressed, his concerns were always about others. A big thank you to his breakfast club of friends who kept him smiling during his retirement and illness. His family would like to express their appreciation to the Froedtert TICU team of nurses, PAs, and doctors for their compassion and patience during Thom’s stay. A memorial will be scheduled later in the year. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks that you donate to a charity of your own choice in Thom’s name.
