Susan Tran

With profound sorrow, yet holding cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Tran, aged 59, of Racine, WI. Born to Harold and Patricia Hindman, Susan, affectionately known as Sue, graduated from Case High School and went on to live a life of love, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and those she cared for.

Sue is lovingly survived by her husband, Le Tran, and her sons, Andrew and Justin Tran. She was the beloved sister to Robert Hindman, Mark Hindman, Donald Hindman, Lynne Hindman, Joel Hindman, Lisette (David) Person, and Michelle (Steven) Rocha. In addition, Sue leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Her lifelong friend, Janelle Schowalter, along with Kim, Nancy, Nina, and the Nguyen family held a special place in her heart. Sue is predeceased by her father, Harold Hindman, her mother, Patricia Hindman, and her stillborn son, Jared.

Throughout her diverse career, Sue remained dedicated to caregiving, service, and nurturing others. She truly found her calling at Society’s Assets in Racine, where her exceptional dedication and compassion were acknowledged through the Wisconsin Long Term Care Workforce Alliance 2019 "Caring Together" Award. This honor underscored her steadfast commitment to those in her care and she took great pride in this accomplishment.

Sue’s legacy is one of immense kindness, boundless love, and generosity. She was the heart and strength of her family and a cherished friend to many. Her memory will continue to inspire and be treasured by all who knew her. Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to the incredible ICU team at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee for their exceptional care of Sue.

We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating Sue's life at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Racine, WI, on Friday, December 15. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. Immediately following, a luncheon will be held at The Small Hall, 9225 Durand Ave., Sturtevant, WI, as we honor and celebrate a life lived with an open heart and generous spirit.
