Steven John Schaefer, age 52, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away on January 22, 2025. Born on May 16, 1972 to Mark and Suzanne Schaefer, Steven was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and grandfather whose legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched. Steven proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran before dedicating his career to serving his community as a firefighter with the Milwaukee Fire Department, where he retired after years of courageous service. His bravery and dedication made a lasting impact on countless lives. Above all, Steve cherished his family. He was the proud father of Alicia [Mikael], Stephanie, Maya, Anna and Norah, and devoted grandfather to Grace, Bennett and Ava. Steven is also survived by his loving siblings, Kathleen [James] and Jeremy [Nicole] and his cherished nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Juliette, and Vivienne. Whether on the golf course or gathered with loved ones, Steven’s warmth, humor, and kind spirit left a lasting impression. 

A service to honor Steve’s life is being planned for the spring, and details will be shared at a later date.
