Stephanie Herner

It is with great sadness that the family of Stephanie Herner, 45, announce her passing on January 10, 2021 after battling polycystic kidney disease. She was preceded in death by grandmothers Callie, Regina and Shirley; grandfather Raymond; and her mother, Vicky Herner. Survived by her loving daughters Lauren (Carlos) Carillo, Morgan and Emma Scherer; partner Paul Ciepluch; sister Heidi (Marty McCaffrey) Herner; father Gregory (Kathy Jenels) Herner; grandmother Gala (Paul Seday) Herner; and grandson Carlos Carrillo Jr. She is also survived by a nephew, niece, aunts, cousins and friends. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois on September 11, 1975 and graduated from Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois in 1993. She worked as a registered nurse and home health nurse throughout Illinois and Wisconsin for many years and will be remembered for her knowledge and affection for the healthcare industry. More than anything she enjoyed her children and time with them especially watching their favorite shows together. Stephanie will be remembered for her wit, her laugh and the love she had for her children. Instead of a service, we encourage you to do something that brings her to mind and keep her in your heart for a while.
