Scott A. Mohr

Scott A. Mohr, affectionately known to all as “Stretch,” passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on January 29, 1957, Stretch was a larger-than-life presence whose kindness and humor left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

Stretch turned his passion for cars and boats into a lifelong calling. He was a master of his craft, widely respected as an expert in auto body and paint. His dedication, precision, and talent were the hallmarks of a remarkable career that spanned over 30 years with Ewald Automotive, where he was a valued colleague.

Beyond his professional life, Stretch possessed a deeply spiritual soul and an appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. He could often be found with a camera in hand, capturing the perfect light of a sunset, the glow of the moon, or the shifting shapes of the sky. For Stretch, clouds were more than just weather—they were a canvas of the divine, and he found great peace and comfort in spotting the angels hidden within them. He has now taken his place among the very skies he so loved to admire.

Stretch is survived by the love of his life, Tija; his son, Richard (Chelsea); and his five grandchildren. He is further survived by his “Ma,” Barbara; his brother, Gregg; his sister, Sue; and his brother, Tim, as well as other family and friends. He also leaves behind his loved dogs, Spinner and Ziva, who brought him immense joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ann Sophie, as well as several beloved dogs who went before him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed immediately by a memorial service at Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 3450 S 52nd Street, Greenfield, WI.

In honor of Stretch's love for nature's beauty, the family asks that you take a moment to look up at the sky, look for the angels in the clouds, and think of him.
