Sandra A. Schmid

Sandra (Sandy) Ann Schmid, age 83 found peace and serenity on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born June 10, 1941, in Milwaukee, to the late John and Rose Smukalla.

She attended Jackson Street Grade School and graduated from St. John’s Cathedral High School. She enjoyed working at NML, executive secretary to the President with the fastest shorthand in company! Living in the same house for over 50 years gave Sandy many neighborhood friends.

 Proceeded in death by her beloved sons, David and Donald. Wife to David and Mom to Christine Schmid. Nana to Molly and Madeline Meinecke, Samuel and Stefan Schmid.

Also survived by many dear and wonderful friends.

 Sandy dedicated her life to her three children and four grandchildren, and they were lucky to have her. She enjoyed years of smiles with many friends, some from grade school!

 In lieu of flowers, go out and enjoy a rummage sale in honor of Sandy!

 Sandy’s ashes will be placed at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum.

Celebration of Sandy’s life is being arranged soon, please let her daughter or husband know if you can join them in Whitefish Bay, date to be determined.
