Sandra Louise Boltz, a longtime resident of Shorewood, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 18, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sandy was the daughter of the late E. Grant and Rose (nee Candee) Boltz. A proud graduate of Riverside High School, she worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and in various customer service positions over the years.
She was a gifted craft worker, known for her adorably crafted stuffed bears that brought joy to many and her meticulously decorated miniature dollhouse. Her hands were rarely still; when she wasn't crafting, she was tending to her garden, caring for friends’ pets, or volunteering her time at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Her faith and family and friends were central to her life.
She is survived by her brother, Richard; her longtime companion, Lawrence Grimmer; and her dear cousins: Sally Brown, Guy Porth, Robert (Cathy) Brown, Isabella and Christian, Michael (Cheryl) Brown, and Mark Brown (Carol Seeker). She leaves behind a legacy of friendship within her cherished bear-making group and among her fellow volunteers and congregants at St. Mark’s. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, E. Grant and Rose.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Sandy are invited to celebrate her life during a memorial service on April 18th, with visitation at 2:00 and service at 3:00 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2618 North Hackett Avenue, Milwaukee, WI, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sandy’s memory to St Mark’s Episcopal Church.
