Ronald James Kanastab, age 69, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on July 28, 2025.
Born on May 17, 1956 in Milwaukee to Clarence James Kanastab and Marie Tina Jennaro, there was nothing more important to him than family. He loved his brothers Tony and Gary and his many cousins.
Ron married the love of his life, Debbie Hawley-Kanastab on August 24, 1985, and together they shared a long marriage filled with laughter and love. They had a son, Alexander, and Ron loved sharing his love for sports and sense of humor with him. As a family they went on many vacations, attended baseball games, and always celebrated Christmas with Ron’s signature lasagne.
Ron found joy in sports, especially baseball, organizing fantasy leagues will all of his friends and cheering on the Brewers. He also loved working at Potawatomi Casino where he found daily joy in joking with all of his colleagues.
Ron lived a life filled with laughter, fun, and love. He loved writing and used his gift to make those he cared about feel loved. His favorite thing in the world was laughing, playing practical jokes on his friends, and living a life without a single dull moment.
His family will honor his memory with a service dedication at Blessed Sacrament Parish on August 10th at 10:00 A.M, followed by a private celebration of life.
