Robert N. Grove, 87, of Greendale, Wisconsin passed away on June 25, 2020 at Froedert Hospital, Wawatosa, Wisconsin. A family showing was held at Sass Funeral Home, followed by cremation. Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan to Isabelle and Frank Grove and grew up in Delevan, Wisconsin. He graduated from Delevan High School, followed by a Business Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He obtained his MBA and PhD from Virginia Commonwealth, in Richmond, Virginia. He also held a technical degree in aeronautical engineering. His career in Manufacturing included Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and President. He also taught Business classes at MATC, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and summer seminars at St Norbert’s College in DePere, Wisconsin. After retirement he did business consulting throughout the United States for a Chicago Firm, and did substitute teaching in elementary through college level. Bob was a lifetime Harley rider and raced for them during his younger years. He and his wife, Barbara, enjoyed several Harley cross country trips with friends. Bob was a longtime member of the Vagabond Ski Club and led and participated in many ski trips with the club. He also was a pilot and owned a Cessna airplane Bob and Barbara sailed for over thirty years. When they moved to Ohio in 1998, they sailed their beloved Molly Anne, (a Pearson 40) from Milwaukee to Sandusky, OH. After Bob’s retirement they lived on their boat, during the summers, at the Sandusky Yacht Club. He is also a past member of the Milwaukee Yacht Club and a current member of the South Shore Yacht Club. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara; stepsons, Robert Newbury (Karin), Bruce Newbury (Suzie), and Brad Newbury; daughters Dena, Tina, and Christina Grove; and 4 step-grandchildren.
