Janisch, Dr. Richard W. (Dick)
Aged 95. Died Friday, August 25th. Much beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Dick was a guidance counselor, teacher, coach and mentor in the Elmbrook School System for many years before his retirement in 1989. In retirement he volunteered as a Waukesha County Dispute Mediator and traveled the world with Joan. He was a lifelong athlete who enjoyed running and bicycling well into his 80s.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Joseph; brother, Carroll (Sally); sister, Alicia Cowart; and two of his grandchildren, Andrew and Christine Janisch (children of son, Christopher). Survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Jane (William Farrell), sons: Christopher (Debra), Timothy (Lisa), Patrick (Sara), and William (Danielle); as well as sixteen grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews. Further survived by Julie Janisch, three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Dick's life was well and fully lived and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Please join the family for a remembrance and celebration of Dick's life to be held from 2:30-5:30 Sunday, October 8th, 2023, at the Grand Hall at Hoyt Park, 1800 Swan Blvd, Wauwatosa.
