Randy Scott Fugate

May 24, 1956 — December 7, 2025

Randy Fugate, age 69, passed away on December 7, 2025, at Crescent Assisted Living, with loved ones nearby.

Randy grew up in Caledonia, Wisconsin—first in Caddy Vista and later on Highway G. Many of his childhood memories were made during family trips to Amberg, Wisconsin, where his mother was raised and where his headstone now rests.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Kay Fugate, and his sister, Terri Jo.

Randy was a man of many trades, the true definition of a “Mr. Fix It.” He could repair anything and everything, and he had a lifelong love for cars—buying them, selling them, fixing them, and sometimes driving them a little too fast. His family joked that trips to Walmart often began with trying to remember which car they had brought that day.

A patient, kind, and gentle soul, Randy was protective without ever being harsh. He cared deeply for animals and always had dogs and cats by his side. He was almost always dressed in jeans—never shorts—and could often be found enjoying an ice cream and a Coca-Cola.

Randy loved music. He was an avid Elvis Presley fan, a lover of country tunes, and a talented musician who enjoyed playing guitar and drums. He also loved to whistle and sing. He ice skated, fixed cars, and seemed to have a talent for anything he put his hands to.

He loved the Lord and raised his family in faith. Sundays were often spent driving to Mount Zion Revival Center in Zion, Illinois—Christian music on the radio and McDonald’s before church. These routines became cherished memories for his children.

Randy was personable, warm, and well liked. He was also honest about his struggles. He battled addiction and fought daily to stay on the narrow path, though at times he found himself in the wilderness. Through it all, he remained loved deeply by his family.

He cherished his trips to Florida to visit his sister and loved feeling the warm sun on his skin.

Randy is survived by his father, Charles Wesley Fugate; his sister, Vickey Bornemann; and his brother, Danny Fugate (Cathy). He leaves behind his children and grandchildren: Alicia Rodriguez (Eloy), Joshua Fugate (Karli Zizzo), Aaron Fugate, and Matthew Fugate; and grandchildren: Roman Villasana, Bentley Rodriguez Wilkinson, Vivianne Rodriguez Fugate, Jaxson Fugate, and Avery Fugate.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Mercy Hill Church, with Visitation beginning at 1PM and the Service beginning at 2PM. The reception will begin at 4:30PM at Summertown Hall, located at 7511 12th St, in Kenosha, WI.
