Patricia M Balzer

Patti Balzer of New Berlin, WI, passed away on January 29, 2025, from complications of cancer and pneumonia. Patti was born March 17, 1952, in St. Louis, MO, to Thomas and Charlotte Curran. She graduated from Dominican High School in 1970.

Patti leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, John; daughters, Tracy and Jenny (Nathan); grandchildren, Haley and Nicholas; siblings: Cathy, Sharon, and Tim; as well as many other wonderful family and friends.

Patti was kind, thoughtful, loving, funny, and giving. She always worked hard to take care of others and help wherever she could.

Patti attended Marquette and Carroll Colleges, was an audit supervisor at Marc’s Big Boy, where she met John, did bookkeeping for numerous local businesses, and volunteered for New Berlin Public Schools.

Patti’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Cremation Society of Milwaukee for their compassion and Froedtert Hospital’s ICU staff for their care. Patti was also heavily involved in the Greater Milwaukee Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) (Greater Milwaukee Relay for Life) and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in West Allis (Holy Trinity). In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to either of these organizations that were so important to her.

A celebration of life for Patti will be held on March 8th at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (11709 W. Cleveland Ave. West Allis, WI) with a visitation at 1 p.m. and the service to follow at 2 p.m.

Her family celebrates her with a traditional Irish Blessing:

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
