Michael Richard Widmer, 56, of Milwaukee, WI, died Saturday, February, 2, 2019, at his home.
Michael was born June 29, 1962 in Chicago, IL, the son of Jeanette R. Widmer and Richard L. Widmer. He served in the United States Marine Corp for six years and was honorably discharged. Michael was also a surveyor, an avid gardener, a writer and a candle creator at his company, Surrealistic Dreams. He held a patent for the creation of his “Winter Trees” candle.
Michael attended Zion United Church of Christ, was quick to lend a hand and when possible, provided monetary assistance to help others. He was positive, encouraging and had a kind and generous heart.
Michael is survived by his mother, Jeanette R. Widmer of Chicago, IL, his sister, Janice L.Widmer of Naperville, IL, his sister Anna (Widmer) Quintana of Cambridge, WI, his aunt, Melba R. Widmer of Cedar Falls, IA, three nephews, Joseph R. and Rozaida Elarde, Colin W. Castleberry and Ryan W. Castleberry, two great nephews, Brandon and Caleb Elarde, and the wife of his heart, Anna Wanczycka.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia S. (Widmer) Elarde, February 2, 1987, and his father, Richard L. Widmer, June 6, 2003.
