Michael John Harrington

Michael John Harrington, 80, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away on January 11, 2025. Born on August 10, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mike was a patient, loving father, and is survived by his children: Jeff, Maureen (Mark) Wilbert, Patrick, Mykaela, and Ryan; and three grandchildren. 

Mike had a career as a teacher, guidance counselor, and drug counselor. He founded the drug counseling programs at both Wauwatosa high schools, and worked tirelessly in that role. He was an excellent listener, and a very compassionate person. 

Mike was a gifted athlete, and especially enjoyed golf. He was an exceptional football player and cross country runner at Marquette High School. 

Mike had a quick-witted sense of humor, always lifting the spirits of those around him. 

Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, February 8th, at RiverGlen Christian Church on Sunset Drive in Waukesha. Visitation at 11 AM, followed by the service at noon.
