Merlin Eugene Sternitzky, 87 of Waukesha was reunited with Christ on the morning of October 29, 2021.
Merlin was born March 21, 1934, in Clark county Wisconsin to Arnold and Leona Sternitzky.
He attended Granton High School in his home town of Granton. After high school Merlin worked on his family farm for a few years. In 1955 to 1957 he served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. Most of his career was in bookkeeping and accounting.
Merlin was an avid fan of Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Wisconsin Badgers. He enjoyed being outdoors and taking walks. He also enjoyed driving his car and was active exercising and lifting weights.
After serving in the army for two years Merlin started a family. He was blessed with six children, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Sandra Smart (2 sons Joshua and Adam), Marilyn Smart (2 sons Travis and Ricky), Phil Sternitzky (2 sons Eric and David), Karen Kunkel (3 children Jason, Angel, and Jamie), Gale (Borka) Sternitzky (1 daughter Emma), Guy Sternitzky and brother Darrel (Theresa) Sternitzky.
Merlin was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, David Sternitzky.
