Melissa Anne Schmidt

Melissa Anne Schmidt (nee: Gonion), passed away on November 30, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband, Donn and daughters, Emily and Elsie. Melissa is further survived by her parents, Bill & Paula; sisters, Jennifer (Andy) and Christie; parents-in-law, Donald & Barb; sisters-in-law, Heather (Brian) and Heidi (Will); as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Donn and Melissa enjoyed many travel adventures to Brazil, Italy, Key West, and living on the island of St. Thomas, following graduation from college. Their biggest adventure was becoming partners in their shared business, Bayview Handyman. Melissa most recently enjoyed taking her daughter, Emily, to an Enhypen concert in Chicago. She loved her family, and Melissa was devoted to her daughters. Melissa was extremely innovative, resourceful, and always had a positive outlook. We will miss her smile, laughter, and positivity.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will be planned for a later date.
