Meggie was known for bringing a lot of energy and fun to anything she did whether it was baking for the Fall Festival at St. Luke’s, lecturing at mass, planting flowers on the church grounds, or setting up for the rummage sale St. Luke’s has every summer.

In her earlier years, Meggie loved to sing opera and would perform at private concerts. She was also a fabulous Ballroom Dancer and instructor. She spent countless hours of practicing every kind of dance and sometimes performing at special events.

Meggie’s big heart combined with her passion for helping animals and nature led her to her small business named “Have Leash Will Travel”, where she met all kinds of people and their precious pets. Meggie would also volunteer at the Elmbrook Humane Society where she met even more friends, both furry and non-furry, and of course, some of these furry friends would end up coming home with her or her daughter, Farrah.

There are no words to describe how difficult it is to say goodbye to a wonderful woman such as Meggie was when she was here. Meggie will forever be missed but no one will forget how many hearts she touched. We love you Meggie (Mom).

We would like to thank Dr. Patel and his staff at the Sherman Cancer center at Elmbrook Hospital for their care and compassion for my mom; Freda Erdman, a Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse at Elmbrook Hospital for patiently training me on how to safely care for my mom and for all the extra help she has given us; and all of the nurses and staff at Accent Care and Lincoln Home Hospice for making my mom feel comfortable and at peace during her last moments with us.
