Melton, Margaret Mary, died unexpectedly at her home near the Marquette campus, at the age of 72. She was welcomed into the world on November 9, 1950, by her parents, Damian and Gwen (Friske) Melton. Marge graduated from Holy Angels Academy and attended classes in the College of Professional Studies at Marquette University.
Marge followed in her father's footsteps working for AT&T. During her forty-six year career, she worked a variety of jobs. Her parents gave her a love of music and singing. Singing was Marge's passion. She sang with many choirs, including: Gesu, her home parish, the Diocesan choir, and Voces Mundi. She lived her faith through her Singing Ministry and her many acts of kindness. For the past 29 years, she was a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration affiliation community. She committed her life to serving others, most recently through Voces de la Fronteras New Sanctuary movement and St. Ben's Meal program.
Marge is survived by her brother, Dan Melton (Julie).
A Memorial Mass will be held at Gesu on August 3rd at 6:30PM. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Ben's Capuchin Community Services (St. Ben's) (https://www.capuchincommunityservices.org/ways-to-help/donations) or to Voces de la Fronteras (https://vdlf.org/es/donar/).
