Mamie Ann Damico of Grafton, WI, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at age 75.
She was born on July 1, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Dominic and Josephine (nee Tralongo) Damico.
Mamie is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa Wilson and Kimberly (Eric) Berens; cherished grandmother of: Brian, Morgan (Tristan), Jordan (Sam), Hunter (Morgan), and Rachael; and proud “Mimi” of her great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Zander, Raelynn, Ailee, Bennett, and Bryson. She is also survived by siblings: Theresa Szafranski, Shirley (Paul) Formolo, Dominic (Barb) Damico, and Phillip Damico; along with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear cousins; close and loving friends, Larry & Kate Harvey, Mike & Lois Wilson, Nancy Borth and Cherie Whitney; and many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Barbara Darlene; and brother-in-law, John Szafranski.
After graduation from Homestead High School in Mequon in 1967, she worked at Marine Bank and then Bank One. After retirement she worked in the deli at the Piggly Wiggly in Mequon for almost 20 years. She considered her co-workers her friends.
Mamie enjoyed winning big on slots at Potawatomi but her greatest joy was being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mamie’s family would like to extend special gratitude to the caring staff of Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, especially Dr. Chau, Dr. Holguin, Patsy, and the Horizon Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon.
A celebration of Mamie’s life will be Saturday, June 28th in Grafton, more information to follow.
