Lidia Margarita DeLaFuente, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 17, 1950, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, family, and faith.
Lidia was married to the love of her life, Victor, for 56 beautiful years. Together, they built a loving family and created countless cherished memories. She is survived by her beloved children: Maria “Vickie” Sardina (Anthony), Victor DeLaFuente II (Kellie), Susanna Psiropoulos (Pete), and Maria Guth (Douglas). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Linda Haecker (Steve), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Lidia was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Jose Sandoval.
A proud veteran, Lidia served in the United States Air Force as an Administrative Specialist for several years. She carried that same dedication and strength throughout her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Lidia will be laid to rest with a private full military honors service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family once arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made toward a commemorative memorial bench in Lidia’s honor at the Wisconsin State Fair, a place she dearly loved. Donations should be sent to Maria Guth via Venmo @Maria-Guth subject should state “for Lidia”.
