Lawrence Gumbiner, Jr.

September 28, 1944 — July 31, 2023

Lawrence Gumbiner Jr of Bristol, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, July 31st, at the age of 78.

Lawrence started his own HVAC business, Air Kool, back in 1965, which is still run by his son today. He was a factory Rupp snowmobile racer, which led to many decades of snowmobiling. Later he became passionate about off-roading trucks in the mud and sand. Years later he went out west and was introduced to rock climbing in his Jeep which led to building numerous rock buggies. He enjoyed boating, side-by-sides, atv’s, and spending time with family, friends, and his dogs. Lawrence will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Lawrence is survived by his love of 17 years Sandy Gray; his daughters, Jane (Pete Borre) Deisenroth and Jo Ann (Robert) Barrera; his son, Jason (Kari) Gumbiner; his grandchildren - Cody (Kelsi) Deisenroth, Christopher (Sarah) Moore, Courtney Deisenroth, Megan (Eric) Roen, Jake Gumbiner, and Rya Gumbiner; and numerous great-grandchildren. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Henrietta Gumbiner.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 10th, at The Shores of Turtle Creek in Spring Grove, IL, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM, with a second celebration of life to be held in Arizona at a future date.
