Laura C. Harrison

Laura Christine Harrison, 63, died Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, peacefully, with family by her side. 

Laura was born on December 14, 1961 to Larry Harrison and Marianne (Jurkowski) Harrison in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay with a degree in Communication of Arts, and later earned her Master's degree in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University. She was a caregiver and art therapist for many years with Aurora Healthcare. Her Oneida heritage was an important part of her identity, studying the culture and history to then share and experience with her family. 

She is survived by her mother, Marianne Harrison; sisters, Lisa (Jeff) Chojnacki, Jodi (Steve) Nienhaus, Judy Schwartz; nephews and niece Anthony (Sara) Brown, David (Katrina) Brown, Michael Schwartz, Joey Chojnacki, Jessica Nienhaus, Maxwell Harrison; Great- nieces Olivia, Sophia, and Sloane. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. 

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Larry Howard Harrison. 

To honor Laura's wishes, no formal services will be held. Laura loved to throw parties. We'll have one last party for Laura to be determined at a later date. 

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association and the National Kidney Foundation. The family wants to thank the many health care professionals and friends who have helped Laura through a very difficult time over the last few years
