Kenneth Jay Gordon

Kenneth “Jay” Gordon of Red Cliff, WI, walked-on to the spirit world on November 30th, 2021, age 67. Jay is survived by his two children Joshua Jay Gordon (Francis Wyne) and Sarah Ann Gordon Altiman (Vernon Altiman), His four young grandchildren, Nina Kelly Gordon, Jason Aaron Abel, Waabezhig Biidwewiidam Altiman and Isabella Gordon, his siblings Mary (Gordon) Defoe, Donald Gordon, James Gordon Sr, Ralph Gordon, Robert Gordon, Joyce Gordon, Elizabeth (Dolly) Gordon, Catherine Gordon and John Gordon, he is also survived by loved brothers and sisters in-law, many nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply, other close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother Steven Gordon and his loving parents Beatrice (Petite) Gordon and Michael Edward Gordon “Braddum”. He was very proud of his Ojibwe heritage as member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Miskwaabekaang, where he was raised and resided most of his life and later a member of the Fond Du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa/Nagaajiwanaang, his mother’s place of birth in Minnesota. He loved the northwoods and all of its natural beauty.  In Ojibwe we never say goodbye. So, Giigaawaabamin Akiiwensii, see you later, old man. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Red Cliff, WI.
