Kendra McMillan lost her long struggle with mental illness, and passed suddenly from this world and into peace on October 23, 2021 at the age of 55. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved cats Max, Molly, Abi, Cinders, Osiris, Cloud, Ditto, Ramses and Tiramisu. Kendra was a graduate of Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores Michigan, and from Michigan State University.
She is survived by Keith McMillan, her beloved husband of 32 years, half-sister Cheryl Hermann, cousins "Auntie" Mary Ann Mancuso, Annette Kingsbury, Adrienne Aluzzo, Denise Hessler, Nadine Weyersberg, Michelle Skurya, Sal Aluzzo, Jim Campagna, Vikki Lang, Anne Gibson, Debbie Nathan, and Gary Campagna. She also leaves behind many grieving friends and family across the US and the world, particularly in the Goth community. She was a member of the Milwaukee Makerspace, and a regular at Milwaukee's Great Lakes Distillery.
A memorial wake will be held in 2022. Donations in her memory can be made to Happy Endings No-kill Cat Shelter, Second-hand Purrs, or the Waukesha Wisconsin Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS).
