Judith Ann Timm

April 26, 1940 — November 2, 2024

Judith Ann Timm (Ledder) was born on April 26, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Esther Ledder (Pein) and Max Ledder. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee in 1958.

After graduation, and while raising her children, Judith worked at Globe Union and Treat All Metals. Upon retiring from Treat All Metals, she worked for several years at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.

In her spare time, Judith enjoyed volunteering and spent many hours serving at a church meal program and working at a community garden, among other groups and organizations. She also loved playing games like canasta, Skip Bo, sheepshead, and cribbage. She was known to be a bit competitive and liked to win.

Judith loved her grandchildren. She spent many years traveling when her granddaughter, Kristina, was born, going wherever her son and his family were stationed to be able to be a part of her life as she grew up. She also spent many years helping care for her disabled grandson, Owen. She was selfless and put the needs of others above her own.

Judith is survived by her fiancé, Delbert Bowman; her daughter, Jill Ostrowski (Jared); her daughter-in-law, Leonisa Timm; her grandchildren, Kristina Timm (Jon Hayes) and Owen Ostrowski; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Max and Daniel Ledder; her sister, Marion Meyer; and her son, Thomas Timm.

As was typical of Judith, she didn’t like anyone making a fuss over her, so she did not want a funeral. If you would like to honor Judith’s memory, please donate to Midwest Therapeutic Riding Program in Union Grove, Wisconsin (https://www.midwesttherapeutic.org/how-to-help), where she spent many hours watching Owen ride horses, or any other charity of your choice. Also, enjoy a bagel or some chocolate in her honor. Judith loved a good bagel and especially loved chocolatey treats.
