John moved on to his next big adventure Jan. 5 at 57. His passions included old B & W films ( nothing after 1959) Fellini was his favorite, Arrhythmic Jazz & Mt. Dew, not necessarily in that order.
John grew up in Brown Deer & loved swimming in the backyard, his Schnauzers, art & Grammie & Pop. He went to James Madison H.S., & briefly attended UWM, then the Milw. Art Institute, but found them too stifling for his taste.
As a young adult he sang in a Punk Rock band, played sitar, loved the Ama- Dots and nurtured his 3 cats.
After brain surgery in 2011 John thrived in the stellar care of Dan Drury & his crew at Options for Community Growth. (HUGE Thank you!) John found joy in helping his roommates Frank & Gerald- doing their laundry, serving meals. He loved dog- sitting for Dan’s dog. John decorated every single inch of his room walls ( floor to ceiling, bed board & dressers too) with pics of music & movie.
A celebration of his life took place with all his caretakers & friends of the past 7 years at his group home with many John stories.
John will be missed by his sister Barb & brother in law Brent of Calif., his ole friends Tom & Sharon.
Happy Trails, John!
