The world lost one of its brightest flames on July 16, 2025, when Jennifer “Jenny” Piette passed away peacefully, wrapped in love, sass, and sunshine. She was 42.
Jenny was not a traditional person, and this won’t be a traditional obituary.
Because how do you sum up a soul like hers?
Jenny was not her resume. She was not her schooling, her job title, or her list of achievements — though she was wildly smart, both book-wise and street-wise. She got things done. She was a rockstar employee wherever she went. People loved working with her. But what made Jenny exceptional wasn’t what she did — it was how she made people feel.
Jenny’s real legacy is the way she loved. Fiercely. Generously. Unconditionally.
She saw the good in everyone — especially the ones most people overlooked. She had a way of instantly understanding what made each person unique. She knew what people needed — a laugh, a little space, a reminder of their worth — and she gave it freely, without making it a big deal. It was just who she was.
She didn’t need long heart-to-hearts to make you feel loved. Her presence alone said, “I see you.” And you believed her.
Jenny had that rare magic: she was equal parts naughty and disarmingly good. Her mouth could make sailors blush, her laugh could light up the block, and her tenderness could break your heart wide open.
She loved:
🖤 Music — Dropkick Murphys, Frank Turner, Misfits, Off with Their Heads, Sister Hazel, local bands like Avenues, and anything that stirred her rebel heart.
🖤 Hockey — especially her beloved Boston Bruins and Milwaukee Admirals.
🖤 Stuffed animals, real animals, crystals, funky art, sparkly eyeshadow, fashion, and statement jewelry that was as bold as her spirit.
🖤 Arts and crafts — especially making birthday cards with the kind of flair and care that turned them into keepsakes.
🖤 Her people — and there were so many.
Everywhere Jenny went, people adored her. She had the sharpest wit, the softest heart, and a sense of humor that could lift even the heaviest day.
Jenny was deeply loved by her parents, Bill and Robin Piette, who cared for her with unwavering devotion. She is also cherished by her sister, Jamie Piette Andrzejewski (Scott), and niece, Emma, who will carry her legacy forward with joy and fire. Her brother, Zack Piette (Ashley), and her beloved nephew and niece, Nolan and Kennedy, will miss her dearly.
Jenny also had a beautiful connection to her birth family and extended family. Her birth mother, Tina Hart, and Tina’s children, Kyle, Morgan, and Sadie— held a treasured place in her heart. That bond was real, lasting, and full of love.
Her circle was vast — filled with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends — all who showed up for her, just as she always showed up for them.
On June 14, 2025, Jenny’s family held a Life Celebration — a heartfelt, joy-filled pool party with many of her favorite people. There was swimming, storytelling, laughter, and the kind of presence that only happens when love is the guest of honor. She was here for it. She felt every bit of it. And it was sacred.
In lieu of flowers, please go out and do something fun. Something that makes you feel alive. Go to a concert. Eat the donut. Buy the earrings. Hug someone longer than usual. Then, send her parents a message and tell them what you did in Jenny’s honor. They’d love to hear from you.
Jenny Marie Piette: Sassy. Brave. Hilarious. Kind.
You changed us.
You reminded us what matters.
You showed us how to live with courage.
