Jeffery Thomas Bolle

Jeffery Thomas Bolle died in his Milwaukee, Wisconsin home on December 29, 2023 following a yearlong battle with bile duct cancer.

Jeff was born on February 2, 1963, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the eighth child of Everett Eugene and Dorothy (Feit) Bolle. He graduated from Roncalli High School in 1981, and then earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 1985. Jeff was a scholarship athlete at UCF, playing football for the Knights as a Free Safety. He was known for his high football IQ and dependability from his teammates. After college, Jeff worked for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice in many roles as Counselor, Youth Treatment Leader, and finally, Senior Delinquency Case Management Director. While living in Orlando, he met his soulmate and wife of 28 years, Connie Jo (Moore), whom he married on April 22, 1995.

Jeff and Connie lived in Orlando and Miami, Florida; Salt Lake City, Utah; Chicago, Illinois; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were true college sports fanatics who shared a passion for travel and outdoor adventures that included jet skis, snowmobiles, ATVs, kayaks and Indian motorcycles. Above all, Jeff was extremely generous in his service to others. He provided Foster care and volunteered for numerous charities including ALS, Feeding America, The Kidney Foundation, and numerous Cancer organizations. When the chemo drug that Jeff needed became unavailable due to a nationwide shortage, the Bolles appeared on national news to advocate for all cancer patients by spurring the FDA and Congress to apply pressure to the pharmaceutical companies to address the issue.

Jeff received his teaching certificate and became a schoolteacher at numerous schools in Utah, Chicago, and Milwaukee, before becoming a School Counselor at Atlas Preparatory Academy, and most recently, at Milwaukee School of the Arts, part of the Milwaukee Public School System. He held a Masters of Education degree from University of Phoenix, and a Masters of School Counseling degree from Concordia University in Chicago.

Jeff loved coaching and mentoring, and had the patience and skills to connect and lead students from all walks of life with compassion and purpose. He was a Varsity Football and Baseball Coach at Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, after having previously coached football at Loyola Academy in Chicago. His favorite place on earth was his family’s property in Reifs Mills, Wisconsin, where he would enjoy spending time with his beloved rescue dogs: Brooks, Sierra, and Kenzie – his most recent “little girl.”

Jeff leaves his wife, Connie; his brother, Lyle Bolle of Manitowoc, WI ; his sisters: Nancy (Joe) Scheigg of Green Bay, WI; Susan (Terry) Grall, and Deb (Dave) Muench of Appleton, WI; Terry Bolle of Greenville, SC; Ellen Bolle of Naples, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Jane (Roger) Reick of Manitowoc, WI.

Friends are invited to attend Jeff’s services at Immaculate Conception Church located at 1023 E. Russell Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin, January 13, 2024. The Visitation will take place at 12:30pm and the Funeral Mass will follow at 1:30pm.
