James (Jim) Manikowski, age 74, passed into eternal rest on February 23, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jim was a man whose heart mirrored the finest gold, with a humor that sparkled, a love that embraced, and a pride and kindness that touched all.
A proud veteran, Jim served his country in the United States Army from 1967 until 1970. He continued to exemplify the values of hard work and commitment through his career as a machinist and foundry worker at Evinrude. He retired and enjoyed the rest of his years in Crivitz, Wisconsin.
Jim’s passions extended beyond his work. He reveled in the joy of motorcycling, the thrill of snowmobiling, the serenity of boating, and the patience of ceramics, fishing, and hunting. Above all, his cherished moments were those spent with his beloved family.
Jim leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to his daughters, Kellie (Matthew) Minikel and Sandy (Dylan) Payne; his grandchildren, Jacob and Leslie Minikel; and his sister, Sheryl (Tom) Pfeffer. He is preceded in his journey to eternal peace by his parents, Kenneth and Dolores Manikowski.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on May 18, 2024, at 3 p.m, located at W156N8131 Pilgrim Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. We invite friends and family to gather to celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind.
May James Stephan Manikowski rest in peace, as his memory continues to be a beacon of light to all who knew him
