Kaye, Ervin George (Krzeminski) passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021. Born to John and Katherine Krzeminski on October 28, 1924. Erv grew up in Milwaukee. Attended St. Adalbert’s Catholic grade school and Pulaski High. He served honorably in the Pacific Campaign during WWII.
Erv loved dancing, bowling, playing softball, volleyball, playing the button box and playing cards with his special “sheapshead” buddies. He participated in several Senior Olympics and was a multiple medal winner. He was instrumental in organizing the Catholic Blue & Gold Dartball Tournaments in the 1970’s and played for St. Rita’s team for decades. He belonged to numerous organizations over the years including the American Legion - Bay View Post & Polka Boosters. He remained active, lived independently and still drove a car until shortly before his death at age 96.
Preceded in death by his ex-wife and lifelong friend Dorothy, his 3 older brothers and younger sister. He is survived by his three children: Lynne Grill (David), Karen Katarow (Keith) and Wayne Kaye (Robin). Further survived by his grandchildren Ashley Kaye (Jake Silber), Adam Kaye and the light of his life, great grandson Dominic Silber. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends, including special longtime friend Lillian Zavadsky.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Max A Sass & Sons Funeral Home - Greenridge Chapel (4747 S 60th St. Greenfield). A visitation will be held from 4 pm until time of service at 6:30 pm and services will conclude with Military Honors.
