Diane Marie Ciskowski

Ciskowski, Diane M. born to eternal life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at age 87.

Diane is survived by a multitude of adoring friends, foster daughter: Julie (Todd) Cheyenne, Morgan, Angelo, Skylar, and Liebelt; Family: Rudy, Mary Lynn (Doug), Michael (Gail), Randolph (Sharon), Mark, Chris (Frank), and Paula (Michael).

A private service and burial will be planned.

Diane was a life-long learner and always an advocate for those in need. She attended St. Wenceslaus School and St. Mary's for high school. Diane dedicated her life to the Lord as a nun with the Sister of St. Francis of Assisi from 1954-1961. During this time she taught at both St. Sebastian School and St. Agnes. In the early 1970's, Diane began her academic journey at Alverno College where she graduated with Honors obtaining a Bachelors of Arts. Diane then went on to receive her Master's Degree from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, in Sociology. Diane took time after her Master's to teach Sociology at Milwaukee Area Technical College before her passion for social justice took her to pursue a Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University. She practiced law as a public defender for many years before retiring with her dear friends on the Convent Grounds in St. Francis. Diane's keen sense of justice balanced with her kind, silly heart, will be missed by everyone who knew her.
