David Allen Riemer, also known as "C.C." aka "Crabby Chef", passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 42, in West Bend, WI. Born on February 18, 1981, in Waukesha, WI. David brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Dave was a person who truly loved life and held an unconditional love for those close to him. He had a unique way of expressing his true feelings, always making sure you knew your importance to him. With his never-ending stories and funny antics, David had a way of keeping everyone entertained. He had a huge heart for children, especially his own, whom he loved to play with and kept entertained. Babies were David's favorite people to spend time with. He was also everyone's favorite "Uncle Dave".
In his earlier years, David worked construction, building houses, and landscaping. However, his true calling was being a professional Chef, and he excelled in his role. His culinary skills were nothing short of phenomenal.
David's true passion was food and cooking. He started when he was very young, which he attributed to his Grandma Doris. He was truly a great chef and loved the heat of spicy and enjoyed sharing his creations with others. Dave found great humor in people's reactions to his dishes and always ensured that everyone got a taste. In the kitchen was his happy place. He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found solace in nature, where he would become one with it. Whether it was deer hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, white river rafting or kayaking, David loved being surrounded by the beauty of the natural world, especially near water.
As a devoted Packers and Brewers fan, Dave always had an amazing spread of food prepared for game days and holidays, where he always went above and beyond to provide a 5-star experience. On Christmas, he even transformed from chef to Santa Claus to hand-deliver gifts to the children, so that he could witness their joy.
Throughout his life, David faced struggles with his mental health, but always sought professional help and had the unwavering support of his fiancé, Amber. She had such great strength to help him through and hold him up while he was at his lowest times. They truly had immense love for one another. Despite his own challenges, he was always concerned about others well-being and wanted to ensure everyone's happiness.
David is survived by his Fiancé, Amber Doede; his beloved Children: Jayden, Gavin, and Ellianna Riemer; Mother, Patricia Sitowski (Tom Hofstetter); Father, David Riemer; Grandmother, Doris Harding; Sibling: Amanda Riemer, Sheila Klug (Scott Gradel), Ashley Sitowski, Amy Davis (Tim Davis), John Burke (Stacy Burke), and Jordan Riemer. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
David also considered Tim and Heather Leffler, owners of "The Copper Dock", as his chosen family. He always said, "Heather was his other Mom". He was proud and fortunate to be taken in by such wonderful people and considered the entire staff as his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Richard Buss, Sr.; Grandparents, Duane and Carol Riemer; Grandparents, Norma Fay and Larry Domine; and Grandfather, Timothy Harding.
