Daniel Trost passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 90.

Beloved husband of Barbara Trost and previously married to Beverly Trost (née Quesnell). Cherished father of Dot (Mike) Spanheimer, Matthew (Jane Pilsworth) Trost, Nancy (Glenn) Carriveau, the late Ray (Jean) Trost, Pete (Laura) Trost, Christina Trost, and Tom (Dao) Trost. Loving grandfather of TJ and Dominic Trost. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Private services were held.

Daniel was born on August 5, 1935, in Milwaukee. He lived a life defined by dedication, resilience, and service to others. A proud Marine and veteran of the Korean War, he served his country with honor and courage. Daniel was also an accomplished athlete, earning recognition as a Golden Gloves boxing champion and a multiple-time Wisconsin state racquetball champion. He devoted 30 years of service to his community as a firefighter, demonstrating exceptional bravery and commitment throughout his career.

Daniel's legacy is one of strength, perseverance, and devotion to family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
