Cynthia Ann Brault

January 28, 1960 — May 19, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Cynthia Ann [Cyndi] Brault, who passed away on May 19, 2024, due to pancreatic cancer.

Cyndi was born and grew up in Racine, WI. After graduating from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Nursing, Cyndi moved to Milwaukee where she was an RN for 41 years. She worked in various capacities, most recently as lead surgical nurse at Aurora Sinai Medical Center.

Cyndi was a loving sister and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. She was passionate about her career and derived deep satisfaction from helping others. She shared her off-duty time with her family and friends. Cyndi enjoyed gardening. Each summer saw a beautiful show of plants, flowers, and tasteful decorations. She liked to travel, particularly going "up north" with Rick and her annual spring trip to St. Pete's Beach in Florida.

Despite facing many challenges in her life, Cyndi remained resilient and persevered through it all. She was a fighter until the end, and her courage and determination were an inspiration to us all.

Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy Brault; her sister, Cheryl Brault; her life partner, Richard "Rick" Strykowski; and nephew, Michael Grygera.

She is survived by her sisters, Gail Brault and Nancy (Tony) Grygera; nephew, David Grygera; great nieces, Hadleigh and Harlynn Grygera; Rick's parents, Donald and Liga Strykowski; and dear friend, Ginger Pfeffer.

Special thanks to her colleagues at Aurora Sinai Medical Center, her doctors, the staff at St. Lukes floor 3F, and the compassionate staff of Zilber Family Hospice.

Per her request, there will be no wake nor church service. People wishing to honor Cyndi are encouraged to make a donation to Zilber Family Hospice or the charity of their choice.
