Curtis James “Chubby” Michalzik, 55, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Born on July 23, 1969, Curtis was a man with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He had a way of making people laugh, and his presence was one that couldn’t be ignored. Whether through a joke, a story, or a simple moment, he left an impression on those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Renee Michalzik; his children, Liz (Greyson) Wolf-Dixon, Abigail (Ethan Bentley), Emily, Amy, and James Michalzik; his mother, Carol Michalzik; his sister, Denise (Eddy) Arnold; his mother-in-law, Joan Fleming; and his sister-in-law, Traci (Steve) Klugiewicz and granddaughter, Olive Wolf-Dixon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Michalzik; his brother, Dennis Michalzik II; and his father-in-law, Richard Fleming.
Curtis was a dad, a husband, a son, and a brother. His life was made up of both struggles and joys, but through it all, he loved his family. Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor, his stubbornness, and the moments that made them smile.
He will be missed, but his memory will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love that remains.
