Clement (Clem) Francis Hying, 59, passed away on April 2, 2022 surrounded by family and friends amidst a peaceful spring snowfall. Clem was diagnosed less than a month prior with stage four pancreatic cancer. He lived life to the fullest and showed immense strength, positivity, and care for others until his end.
Clem was born in Carroll, Iowa on February 6, 1963 to Donna and Joseph Hying. The family moved to Waterford, Wisconsin in 1968 where he grew up with his 9 brothers and sisters. Clem graduated high school in 1981 and went on to college at Boston University receiving a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He received his Master’s in Managerial Engineering from MSOE. He worked as the Director of Engineering and Product Management at Airflo at the time of his passing.
Clem’s pride and joy were his two sons, Zachary and Skyler. He was an amazing father, attending every soccer game and sharing his hobbies with them both. He was a loving husband to his Wife, Iliana, marrying on September 1, 2015. As life partners they enjoyed many travels, concerts, and adventures together. Clem loved Iliana’s Son, Ilian, as his own. He was so proud of all three of his children, sharing his admiration of them and their accomplishments to all who would listen. Music, bicycles, and food were some of his biggest passions. Whether strumming his guitar, tinkering on both his own bikes and those of family and friends, or grilling delicious food, he found joy in all he did; particularly in the joy his talents brought others. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of adventure, and love of family.
Clem was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph and Brother, Edward. He is survived by his Wife, Iliana; his children Zachary and Skyler (Rachel); Step Son Ilian; Mother Donna; his siblings Gerard, Peter, Janet (Stanley), Catherine (Gordy), Marty (Kathie), Daniel (Jenny), Emmett (Liesl), and John (Jess); and many Nieces and Nephews.
A private celebration of life will be held with family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated and will be given to pancreatic cancer research foundations.
The family would like to thank Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital, Ozaukee, for the care and support
