Christel Aphrodite Syrrakos, aged 70, passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2024, with her adoring daughters at her side.
A tornado of creativity and hilarious humor, Christel was in a league of her own.
Brilliant, beautiful, a mean piano player, draftswoman, cartographer, artist, and reader - as a student having received a special commendation from the English Department at UWM for her poetic insight- Chris leaves behind her two ever-loving and strong-willed daughters, Elisabeth and Samantha, and her bright-light grandson, Greyson.
She was adored by her younger siblings, John and Barbara, with whom she shared a happy and playful upbringing. Summers were spent with abandon at Mauthe Lake, where so many memories were forged. She is preceded in passing by her wonderful parents, Christ and Stella, after whom, as their firstborn, she is named.
Christel was part of a large extended family of loving and caring cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and a circle of incredible life-long friends.
Although we don't have Chris to share in our lives anymore, her artwork adorns our walls, her music reverberates in our minds, and her laughter and legacy have given us great joy to embrace forever.
A private celebration of life to be held in Spring near Christel's birthday.
