Cecilia was a living angel here on earth. After a lifetime of kindness and giving to others, her wings have gone past feathers and are sparkling like millions of diamonds. She was loved by so many families, friends, neighbors and even people who just met her. Her gentle smile could warm anyone’s heart and she was always ready to give anyone a hug. She showed love and kindness to all of God's creatures. She especially loved to feed and watch the birds from her kitchen window. Her house was always home to dogs and especially cats.
After working for 36 years as a floral designer, she was known to many as the "flower lady". Her love of flowers carried through to her home and she always had the most beautiful flowers in the neighborhood. Her artistic talents went beyond flowers to landscape design, knitting, crocheting, sewing, drawing, and playing the piano and bells. She was proud of her Polish heritage, a devote Roman Catholic and was a member of St. Gregory the Great parish since 2000. While at St. Greg's, she was an office volunteer for 16 years, a member of the Garden Angels and Arts and Environment, bereavement volunteer, greeter at mass and hospitality Sundays. She enjoyed being a member of the bell choir (known lovingly as the "ding-a-lings") from the start of the group until their final performance.
Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Parish located at 3160 South 63rd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53219 on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am with mass to begin at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Milwaukee County Humane Society or St. Gregory the Great Parish are appreciated.
