Burton "Burt" William
Kellermann
August 20, 1928 – March 15, 2026
Polish Center of Wisconsin
2:00 - 6:00 pm (Central time)
Burton was born to Harold and Emma Kellermann in Milwaukee and was finally reunited with his beloved wife, June (Stein), on the Ides of March. Burt was also preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley (Don) Voss and Elaine (Tom) Prince, and his beloved aunt, Edith Wendorf. He is survived by his sons, Richard (Lisa) and Bruce; grandsons, Andy (Emily) and Max; and nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Burt was a veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean War, in the 7th army as a Staff Sargeant, before starting his career as a carpenter. He turned those skills into a lifelong career in the bowling industry for the American Bowling Congress (ABC). Burt was a renowned lane conditions expert. He spent many years moving his family around the country as he managed venue construction, operations, and de-construction of the annual National Bowling Tournament; these tournaments drew tens of thousands of bowlers each year. Burt retired from the ABC in 1989 as Assistant Secretary, the #2 executive. He enjoyed a long and happy retirement with his family and friends, traveling, golfing, and gambling at dog tracks and casinos around the country.
The family thanks the staff at Harbour Village and Vitas for their care of Burt in his final months.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 27th from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Polish Center of Wisconsin, 6941 South 68th Street, Franklin WI 53132.
