Brian Cazel, 67, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2026. Born on August 13, 2026, Brian grew up in Shorewood, Wisconsin, where he was raised by his parents, Donn Everett Cazel and Albina “Bina” Klosowski Cazel, they both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Bruce Cazel, who passed away in 2009.
Brian built a life defined by hard work and dedication, but also liked to have fun. He spent a number of years working at a local foundry before beginning a long and distinguished career with AT&T, where he worked as a pole climber - a demanding job that took him out in the sweltering heat of Wisconsin summers and bitterest cold and snow of its winters.
In retirement, Brian finally had the freedom to spend his days doing what he loved most. He took to the road, traveling in his truck to train events across the country. There he visited with a close group of friends who shared his lifelong passion for trains. He was a regular at Trainfest and a proud member of Friends of the 261. He had a gifted eye behind the camera, capturing stunning photographs of locomotives and the sweeping countryside, along with the friends who made those trips so memorable.
He was also a diehard Packers fan.
Brian is survived by his cousins who will miss him as well as his fiend who shared his love of the rails. He will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
