Benjamin (Ben) Jacob Eckl, 54, of Wauwatosa, WI, found peace on May 2nd, 2026. He is survived by his children: Emily, John, and Jacob. He is also survived by his loving brothers, Joshua (Jennie) and Seth (Bonnie). He leaves behind his grandson, David, and his many nephews and nieces: Hannah, Devin, Ali, Bella, Cassie, Calvin, Mya, Adrianna, Eli, and Sasha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Bonita Eckl, as well as his brother, Zachary. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Ben will be remembered most for his thoughtful heart, creative mind, and fearless honesty. He had a deep love for golf, reading, and art, passions that reflected his thoughtful and curious spirit. His favorite pastime was walking through a museum, admiring the paintings and exhibits with his daughter. Nothing brought him more joy than the handmade art projects created by his daughter, which he treasured deeply. He also had a remarkable talent for photography. Those who knew him always believed he had a gift using a camera and often wished he had pursued photography more throughout his life.
Ben’s warmth, encouragement, and genuine love for the people around him made him deeply loved by his family and friends. He leaves behind countless memories, laughter, and treasured time spent with family and friends that will continue to live on in the people who loved him most. His presence will be missed tremendously, but the love he shared and the beauty he saw in the world will never be forgotten.
Visitation on June 6th at Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 6924 W. Lisbon Avenue, Milwaukee, from 12 PM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 2 PM.
