Barbara Lindbloom (Johnson), 65, of Lake Geneva, formerly of Williams Bay died unexpectedly January 21, 2014, with her family by her side at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Her death was due to complications from breast cancer.
Barb was born March 29, 1948 in Evanston, Illinois. Daughter of the late Richard M. Johnson and Marian Johnson of Glenview, Illinois. She graduated from Glenbrook South High School in 1966 and attended the University of Missouri.
Barb was a devoted, hard working, single mother, who made countless sacrifices for the better of her 3 children. She raised them to be strong, confident and independent.
She spent over 20 years as a Kitchen and Bath Design Specialist at Barker Building Supply in Delavan, WI.
She adored her seven grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Even through chemo treatments, Grandma Barb attended everything they were involved in.
She was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, had a passion for politics, and loved days of laying in the sun. Her quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor was her trademark.
She will forever be missed and always in the hearts and minds of her family and friends.
Barb is survived by her mother Marian Johnson of Glenview, IL; brother Richard M. Johnson Jr. (Judy) of Chicago; three children, Scott (Elizabeth) Lindbloom of Lake Geneva, WI; Beth (Mike) Artery of Waterford, WI; Katie (Steve) Krause of Greenfield, WI; seven grandchildren, Zachary Lindbloom, Alex Lindbloom, Colton Lindbloom, Grace Artery, Hannah Artery, Elise Krause and Benjamin Krause; and her loving and faithful Cocker Spaniel, Sophie.
