1935 "BB" 2024

Barbara Jean Bold (Falk)

December 26, 1935 — November 2, 2024

BB began her life’s journey in Chicago, later moving to Wisconsin with her husband and children to establish a hardware store business. She managed the books while working alongside her devoted husband, Bernie, bringing joy to the staff and customers alike. Fittingly, their store was named “Coast to Coast,” which perfectly mirrored BB’s far-reaching warmth. Later in life, she turned her love for fashion into a career, becoming a familiar face in various retail stores, including the Boston Store. BB was also actively involved with the Temple Emanuel Sisterhood and had a deep love for Hebrew song. Despite a less-than-stellar singing voice, she brought spirited joy to worship with her dedication to song.

BB is survived by her loving children, Ricky, Marc (Teri), and Steven, along with a large circle of cherished family and friends. She was a proud grandmother to Adam (Krista), Spencer (Maggie), Nick (Emma), Blake, Konner, and Derrik, and a great-grandmother to Robin and Lincoln. She was also the dear sister of Miriam ("MiMi") and Ernie, and sister-in-law of the late Joe Smith and Vivian Falk. BB was a beloved and cherished daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Falk.

BB was adored by many, known as a social butterfly, and brought her sparkle to every room she entered, from her friends to the staff at Chai Point. Her refined taste in fashion, gleaming jewelry, and love of all things sparkly will be fondly remembered. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Chai Point, Badger Hospice, and especially to her long-term nurse advocate, Lisa Gorelick.

A memorial gathering will be held at Ovation Chai Point, 1400 N Prospect Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by a meal. The family will also observe Shiva on November 10th from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the home of Marc and Teri Bold. All who wish to honor BB’s memory are welcome.
