Arthur “Art” Pulizos, 91, found his eternal rest on May 13, 2023, at home. He was born August 23, 1931, in Staunton, Illinois, to Nick and Marcena (Vlahon) Pulizos.
Art was raised in Springfield, Illinois. He was a tool and die maker for 43 years, having served his apprenticeship at his uncle’s shop in Saginaw, Michigan. Art worked in many shops in the Milwaukee area, starting at Ladish in Cudahy, and ending at AC Rochester in Oak Creek. He spent his spare time and retired years fishing, bowling, building radio control airplanes, playing golf, sheepshead, and other card games.
Art met his future wife, Mary (Severance), while serving in the Army in Washington, DC. They were married June 8, 1957. Art and Mary enjoyed traveling and they saw most of the states, many Canadian provinces, and a handful of foreign countries.
Art is survived by his wife, Mary, of nearly 66 years; their two sons, Todd (Mary) and Andrew (Faith); daughter-in-law, Jennifer; their 8 grandchildren: Rachel (Adam Colby), Nicholas, Matthew (Rebecca), Michael (Kathleen), Steven (Kari), David, Alexandra, and Annie; four great-grandchildren: Myra, Blaize, and Nova Colby, and Ashton Pulizos; his brother, Bill (Barbara); and nieces, nephews, and many friends.
