Ann Therese Heyl, 57, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born on November 25, 1967, Ann dedicated her life to caring for others, particularly the elderly, reflecting her tender-hearted nature.

Ann grew up in Joliet, Illinois, where she attended St. Paul the Apostle for her primary education and graduated from Joliet West High School. She furthered her passion for caregiving by studying at the American Nanny College in Claremont, California.

Professionally, Ann was committed to her role at Lake Forest Place in Lake Forest, Illinois, and also served numerous families through private duty jobs. Her work was more than a job; it was a manifestation of her innate compassion and dedication to those in need.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Anastagia Ware; a grandson, Demetrius Gordon III; and her nine siblings: Mary, John, Carlos, Paul, Joseph, Jane, James, Peter, and Carolyn. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her infant son Joshua Heyl, and her parents, Margaret and Richard Heyl.

Ann cherished her role as a grandmother, affectionately known as "Ya Ya" to her grandson Demetrius, who was her world.

Her life was a testament to the power of unconditional love and the joy of lifelong learning and caring.

Plans for a memorial service are being arranged for June or July, where family and friends will gather to honor Ann's memory.
