Anita Jo Armstead

Anita 'Nita" Jo found peace on December 27, 2022, at age 43. Anita is survived by her loving children: Marlo Marshall, Dennis Marshall, III, Daniya Marshall, Yahna Wright, Vivienne Wright, and Ariel Wright; her granddaughter, Nova Marshall; devoted siblings: Angela Armstead, Monica (Stephen) Mayo, Richard Armstead, and Cynthia Armstead; beloved aunts and uncles: Sharon Andrallano, Amtul Badi, Rolla (Cindy) Armstead, Gerald Armstead, and Jerome (Vanessa) Robinson; and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anita was preceded in death by both parents, Juelene Armstead (nee Coleman) and Richard Curtis Armstead.

Anita was a kind, loving, artistic, and passionate person. Anita loved to sing. She spent many years singing in various choirs and enjoyed open-mic nights at poetry houses. She enjoyed bringing joy to her friends and loved ones. Anita was a talented massage therapist and brought many people great relief and relaxation through her small, but powerful, hands. Anita often said she felt that God had made her hands for healing.

Anita was very loved and will be deeply missed by all!
